Harmonics and dials
Work with harmonic charts and the available single-chart dial interface.
On this page (3 sections)
Harmonic Chart transforms the selected chart for a chosen harmonic; Dial folds positions onto a selected angular scale. They are related ways to examine relationships, but their controls are not interchangeable. Start with Iris Vale's natal chart and open each view from Midpoints & Harmonics or through Command-K. Keep the natal record as the reference for both.
Calculate the fifth-harmonic presentation

The example uses the Harmonic preset H5, the H: field reads 5.00 and Age-H is off. The readout is Harmonic: 5.0000 and the wheel title is H5: Quintile. Beside it, Harmonic Positions compares the derived position with Natal. Iris's Sun reads 13 Leo 37 against natal 26 Aries 43. These are two representations of the same source body, not a corrected natal position.
Select Iris Vale and choose Harmonic Chart.
Choose H5 in Harmonic and confirm the H: field.
Read the Harmonic Positions and Natal columns together before comparing another planet.
Inspect a 45-degree dial

Choose Dial and select 45. The available segments shown are 360, 180, 120, 90, 72, 60, 45 and 30. Pointer is off in the capture. Near 22 to 23 on the folded scale, short leader lines separate South Node, North Node, Mercury, Chiron and Venus. A cluster on this dial is not a claim that all those bodies share a natal zodiacal longitude. Check the scale before describing the relationship, and use the natal table if you need the original positions.
