Wheels and bi-wheels

Read a wheel and compare two charts with the implemented wheel views.

On this page (5 sections)

The wheel views present the selected chart in different arrangements. Use Iris Vale's saved natal chart for this tour, with its London birth on 17 April 1991 at 06:42 and Placidus houses. Start by checking the header. A change in presentation is not, by itself, a change to the birth record or permission to compare unrelated dates.

Read the natal wheel

Iris Vale's natal wheel with Taurus ascendant and central aspect lines.

Choose Chart Wheel in Wheels. The wheel labels ASC, MC, DSC and IC and places aspect lines in the center. Iris's ascendant is in Taurus. The saved-chart toolbar includes Export Text, Export Chart and Edit; Chart Wheel also has Extended Bodies and Interpret. The small button at the wheel's top right toggles midpoint markers, not extended bodies.

  1. Select Iris Vale in Saved Charts.

  2. Choose Chart Wheel, or use Command-K to find it.

  3. Read the angles and planet positions before following the central aspect lines.

Separate the three rings

Tri-Wheel with Progressed and Transit rings and a Target Date field.

Tri-Wheel shows Progressed and Transit rings around the natal wheel. Set Target Date deliberately; Now returns that control to the current time. The pictured target is 29 September 2026 at 09:25. Do not read a position from the outer ring as if it were Iris's natal position. Cross-aspect lines connect the layers and can make a dense display.

Inspect the Huber presentation

Huber Wheel with Age Point at 36 years and Stress Planets enabled.

Choose Huber Wheel. This capture has Age Point and Stress Planets checked, with Age set to 36 yrs. AP appears near DSC. The chosen age is an input to this example, not a statement that Iris is 36 in every other capture. Read the numbered houses and the marker together.

Read the square arrangement

Square Chart diamond layout with Iris Vale's planets and numbered houses.

Square Chart uses a north-Indian style diamond arrangement. In the example, Sun 26 Ar and Mercury 22 Ar R appear in house 12. The center identifies Iris and gives the ascendant and MC signs. Use house numbers to orient yourself instead of transferring the circular wheel's geometry to the square.
