Traditional techniques

Use implemented dignity, reception and traditional analysis without assuming a horary panel.

Traditional contains several distinct calculations rather than one combined judgment. Use Iris Vale's natal chart to compare Dignities, Arabic Parts and Antiscia, then use 1 October 2026 for Planetary Hours at her London location. Open each named view in the navigator or through Command-K. Keep the technique and its inputs with the result.

Read dignity columns before the total

Diurnal dignity table showing Chart Almuten Mars and seven traditional planets.

The example is labeled Diurnal chart and Chart Almuten: Mars (21 pts). Only the seven traditional planets are scored. Sun has Exl and Tri with score 7; Saturn has Dom and Tri with score 8, while Mars has Fal and Per with score -9. The almuten and an individual row score are different readouts, so do not substitute one for the other.

  1. Open Dignities for Iris.

  2. Read the Dignities and Debilities slots alongside Score.

  3. Inspect Mutual Receptions below: this example lists Moon with Mars and Jupiter with Saturn by Triplicity.

Check a part and its formula

Arabic Parts list with Fortune, Spirit and their formulas for Iris Vale.

Use Search parts... to find a named part. Part of Fortune is 16 Gemini 28 with Asc + Moon - Sun; Part of Spirit is 11 Aries 07 with Asc + Sun - Moon. The formula and day/night reversal indicator belong with the position. Two similarly named parts should not be compared without checking those details.

Read the hours for London

Planetary Hours for October 1 with Jupiter first and unequal day and night durations.

Set the date to 1 October 2026. The chart location is London. The first daytime hour begins at 7:01 AM with Jupiter: 1 October 2026 is a Thursday, and the first hour of a day belongs to that day's ruler. Daytime rows last 58m and nighttime rows 62m, beginning at 6:38 PM. Read Start, End and Duration rather than treating planetary hours as fixed sixty-minute periods.

Compare the mirror positions

Antiscia and contra-antiscia table with the solstice mirror-axis note.

Antiscia & Contra-Antiscia names the mirror axis as the solstices, 0 Cancer / 0 Capricorn. Iris's Sun at 26 Aries 43 has antiscion 3 Virgo 16 and contra-antiscion 3 Pisces 16. Read the original and the two derived columns separately; neither derived position replaces the natal Sun.
