Esoteric, Astrodynes and Gauquelin Sectors present different analytical methods. Select Iris Vale's saved natal chart, then open a named view in Specialized or through Command-K. Keep the method name with any number you record. A bar, score or shaded sector is not a general measurement of personal worth, health or likely success.
Read the rays and rulership columns
Esoteric shows Seven Rays Profile and Esoteric Rulerships. In the example Ray 7 is 13.0, Ray 1 is 10.0 and Ray 6 is 3.0. The table separates Exoteric, Esoteric and Hierarchical rulers from Rays. Aries lists Mars, Mercury and Uranus across the three ruler columns. Read the column heading before quoting a ruler rather than treating all three as one interchangeable entry.
Select Iris Vale and open Esoteric.
Read the Seven Rays Profile values alongside their ray numbers.
Compare one sign across the three rulership columns before moving to another method.
Distinguish power from net harmony
Astrodynes opens Astrodynes (Cosmodynes), labeled Sorted by power. The columns are Planet, Power, Harmony, Discord and Net. Chiron leads this capture with Power 43.1 and Net -9.2; Pluto has Power 33.7 and Net +23.7. A high position in the list therefore does not necessarily mean a positive Net. Record the column as well as the value when comparing results.
Locate a body in the sector diagram
Gauquelin Sectors shows a 36-sector ring labeled Rise, MC, Set and IC, with plus zones shaded. The example reads 6 planets in plus zones. The table places Sun in sector 1 with Yes and Rise; Mercury is in sector 2, also Yes and Rise. Follow each row's Sector, Plus Zone and Zone rather than reading the shaded ring as zodiac signs or houses.
